Quality starts with the correct initial material. Both the plants for the creation of stoolbeds and the budding and scion wood come as far as possible from Propagation Nurseries The Netherlands. Naktuinbouw supervises both the production of fruit trees and rootstocks throughout the year. Moreover, all the trees and rootstocks are produced in a fire blight-free region (ZPb2).

Fruit trees and rootstocks that have been grown under the supervision of Naktuinbouw with initial material from Propagation Nurseries The Netherlands receive an orange or white certificate. This certificate guarantees healthy and true-to-type planting material.

Fruit trees are either supplied in the autumn and planted immediately or stored in one of the cold stores available on the company premises in Zeewolde. The rootstocks, dormant buds and bench grafts are also stored in cold stores. The cold stores are equipped with air humidifiers to achieve optimum storage conditions.

The fruit trees and rootstocks are supplied in accordance with the HBN and VVFN trading conditions. These are available on request.
